Zahli Restaurant in Sydney joins the Lebanese Rugby League Federation as a proud sponsor of the Cedars 2017 Rugby League World Cup campaign. The Cedars have been drafted into ‘Pool A’ of the RLWC with Australia, England, and France after successfully qualifying to the pinnacle tournament, convincingly beating South Africa in October 2015.
LRLF President, Mohamed Habbous is excited at the announcement, “partnering with Australian business owned by individuals of Lebanese heritage is what makes the Cedars special.” “The support we have been receiving from the Lebanese community in Australia has been overwhelming, and our partnership with Zahli is another milestone in our campaign,” Habbous added.
Being of Lebanese Heritage, owner Mohammad Issmail of Zahli Restaurant is very proud to partner with the Lebanon Rugby League team. We look forward to showcasing our rich and beautiful heritage to the Cedars World Cup team, its associated partners and supporters.”
The Cedars 40-man train-on squad will begin training in the first week of October, with a warm-up game scheduled against Niue in Sydney on 14 October.
