The Lebanese Rugby League Federation is pleased to announce a new partnership formed with Grace’s Place for the upcoming Pacific Invitational Test and World Nines.
Grace’s Place will be a world-first residential trauma recovery centre, for those who are experiencing trauma from losing a loved one to homicide. It will be a home away from home, and a safe place of healing and restoration for children traumatised by homicide. At Grace’s Place you will be able to share experiences, receive counselling and learn how to survive the trauma of losing a loved one.
The centre will be operated by the Homicide Victims’ Support Group (HVSG) which was founded by Grace Lynch, the mother of Anita Cobby. Grace's Place is named in honour of Grace Lynch and is scheduled to open on Anita’s birthday in 2021.
“We are delighted to announce the partnership between the Cedars and Grace’s Place for the Pacific Invitational Test and World Nines. It has a strong alignment with our values of family and inclusion,” stated Lebanese Rugby League Federation Chief Executive Officer, Nayef Abi Said.
“We are proud to support and work with Grace’s Place, to help raise awareness to this project."
Martha Jabour OAM, Executive Director of Homicide Victims Support Group said that this gesture is yet another example of the generosity of spirit in the community towards the realisation of Grace’s Place.
“The support of the Lebanese Rugby League Federation and the opportunity to raise awareness is overwhelming. It will be a proud moment to see Grace's Place on the front of the Cedars jersey knowing that this is the first time a charity will be the major partner of a national team in Rugby League", said Ms Jabour.
Lebanese Rugby League in conjunction with our official merchandise manufacturer Paladin Sports, will donate $10 from every retail jersey sold to Grace’s Place.
