Lebanese Rugby League Federation in association with Assi Performance will be introducing a new course to its list of courses. The course will be labelled as Introduction to Rugby League Strength and Conditioning on August 28th 2019. The aim of the course is to help rugby league coaches and athletes understand the basic principles of strength and conditioning for enhancing rugby league athletes’ performance. It is aimed at developing speed, agility, strength and power as well as keeping the rugby athlete healthy and robust to withstand the demands of the sport.
This course will be delivered by Mr. Hani Assi, a sports performance specialist, who holds an MSc in Strength & Conditioning from the university of east London and is an Accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach (ASCC) from the United Kingdom of Strength & Conditioning Association (UKSCA). Mr. Assi works with high performance elite and professional athletes and team sports.
Nayef Abi Said LRLF CEO said: It is the first time we deliver a specialized strength and conditioning course specialized for rugby league in Lebanon. We have been giving Match Officials and Coaching courses for the past 13 years. As part of our educational plan to raise the standards of the game in Lebanon, this course be one of the few course/workshops we are working on introducing in the near future.
