Coach Brad Fittler has named his 21-man squad for the opening match of the Lebanon Cedars
Tue 24 October 2017
Fittler has named a strong side for the exciting clash – with Robbie Farah, Mitchell Moses, Tim Mannah and Michael Lichaa set to add a wealth of NRL experience to the team.
Farah will start at halfback and captain the team, while vice-captain Moses lines-up alongside him at five-eighth.
The forward pack includes Eels skipper Mannah and Wests Tigers rookie Alex Twal in the front row, while Bulldogs star Lichaa has been named at hooker.
Chris Saab, Ahmad Ellaz and Nick Kassis, who have each represented Lebanon on numerous occasions, are the backrow for the important clash against France.
The Cedars will depart for Canberra tomorrow, with the match to kick-off at 4pm on Sunday at GIO Stadium.
The Cedars recognise the continued support of their corporate partners, with Chalouhi the major sponsor of the Lebanese team for the RWLC 2017.
Other partners of the Cedars' World Cup campaign include Holdmark, Dental on Evaline, Victor, Zahli, PTC, Jasara Constructions (Coach Sponsor), Trinity Constructions (Membership Sponsor) and Speedway Petroleum.
Lebanon Cedars Memberships, Team Gear and Jerseys are available to purchase now from the Official Website.
NOTE: Reece Robinson has been ruled out of the Lebanon Cedars squad after failing a medical clearance. Daniel Abou-Sleiman, who has been training with the team on standby, has been called into the 24-man squad for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.
