Grand Final Postponed
Due to current Civil Unrest in Beirut, the LRL Grand Final 2021 will unfortunately be postponed to a future date.
Five people were killed and at least 30 injured in a gunfire exchange in Beirut on Thursday that started just before noon during a protest, according to state-run National News Agency, the Lebanese Red Cross and hospital sources.
“Our players, officials and fans safety comes first” said Nayef Abi Said (LRLF CEO). “It is sad to see what is happening in Beirut. We aim that our sport & activities reflect the true image of a united Lebanon.”
The match’s new date will be announced as soon as the situation permits, and after consultation with both involved clubs.
