 "LRL Nines Friendly Brings Nine Teams Together at Champville")
The Lebanese Rugby League Federation (LRLF) hosted a full afternoon of Rugby League Nines action at Champville on Sunday, 1 March 2026, with nine teams taking part across two competitive tiers.
The LRL Nines Friendly provided players from Lebanon's domestic clubs and university programs with valuable competitive match experience in the fast-paced Nines format, with a total of 12 matches played throughout the afternoon.
Tier 1 featured Titans, Immortals, Lycans, Lions and Wolves, while Tier 2 brought together AUB 1, AUB 2, UOB and Immortals B.
The program produced a number of closely contested matches across both tiers.
Immortals opened their Tier 1 campaign with a 12 - 8 victory over Titans, while Lions recorded a 24 - 8 win against Lycans. Wolves also made a strong start with a 22 - 12 victory over Titans.
Several of the Tier 1 fixtures were decided by narrow margins. Lycans edged Immortals 16 - 12 before Lions secured a thrilling 24 - 22 victory over Wolves. Titans responded with a 14 - 12 win over Lycans, while Immortals defeated Lions 6 - 4 in one of the tightest contests of the day.
In Tier 2, UOB recorded a 24 - 14 victory over AUB 1, while Immortals B secured victories against both AUB teams. The final Tier 2 fixture between AUB 2 and UOB ended in an 8 - 8 draw.

The event formed part of the LRLF's ongoing program of domestic rugby league activity, providing further competitive opportunities for established players while also giving developing players and university teams the opportunity to gain valuable experience in an organized match environment.
The Rugby League Nines format encouraged open attacking rugby, quick transitions and greater player involvement across the field. The event also provided valuable opportunities for Lebanon's developing match officials to gain further experience across a busy 12-game program.
The Lebanese Rugby League Federation thanks all participating clubs and universities, as well as the players, coaches, managers, match officials, medical staff and volunteers who contributed to the successful delivery of the event.
The LRLF will continue to provide regular playing opportunities across domestic, university, women's and development rugby league as part of its commitment to growing the game throughout Lebanon.
