Lebanon Rugby League 2021 Grand Final Rescheduled
The Lebanon Rugby League 2021 Grand Final has been rescheduled to Thursday, 21 October 2021, 8:45pm kick-off, at Nejmeh Field in Beirut.
Due to civil unrest in Beirut, the LRL Grand Final 2021 was postponed last week. Seven people were killed and at least 30 injured in a gunfire exchange in Beirut last Thursday that started just before noon during a protest, according to state-run National News Agency, the Lebanese Red Cross and hospital sources.
“It was a terrible, sad turn of events,” said Nayef Abi Said (LRLF CEO). “But, as always, we will continually strive toward developing the game and staging events that reflect a positive and true image of Lebanon, far removed from all political tensions and the current economical crisis.”
